You Knew This Would Happen Sooner Or Later…

By Randy Jensen | Jun 20, 2006

Yep, it finally happened. MySpace is being sued by a 14 year old girl’s family after claiming “MySpace got her sexually assaulted.” Wow. Bad MySpace. I don’t know how long I will be able to go into this post before pissing off every parent in the world. I will not go as far as saying she deserves it. No one deserves to have this happen to them, but c’mon people, how dumb are you?

MySpace has been on every damn news channel for the past 3+ months letting people know the dangers their child faces when they put their personal information out for the world to see. Yes, the almost 7 billion people with internet access can view everything your daughter puts on their page. Another side note: the WWW you see before every site in your browser …go ahead and look… ya, that stands for World Wide Web. Keyword here is world. I’m going to give you a second to absorb all of this…

Hold on, i have to get this off my chest…you people are RETARDED. Much better.

Ok, the suit claims that that MySpace does not verify their users ages and claims the security measures they have in place are “utterly ineffective”. Here’s what’s utterly ineffective, your parenting. “Oh, ok Katherine, go ahead and go to Canada with your friends. I won’t ask their parents any questions about the trip to another friggen country.” (Another story all together)

…RETARDS!

Sorry. I’ll get that under control by the end of this thing. How would you like MySpace to verify peoples ages? It’s the internet people! As “personal” as it gets, it’s always going to be somewhat impersonal. Do you want people to have to type their social security number and then have MySpace run a background check on every one of their 80 million+ users? Oh wait, getting a fake social is about as easy as buying a loaf of bread. How about this, make everyone have to have a retina scanner and a biometric thumbprint scanner hooked to their computer that verifies their identity. That will go over well. Some people are just learning how to move that little arrow thingy on their screen.

Just because you people are ignorant when it comes to technology (and parenting) doesn’t mean you can go around suing companies. The girl apparently gave the guy (19) her cell phone number, went to see a film, eat, and then went to the park for a little R&R at the park *wink* *wink*.

I guess I finally have a chance at suing GoDaddy for their distasteful recommendations they gave me when searching for a domain name for myself. Next time you come to my blog, you may have to visit smuttyjensen.com:)
