Chinese Gift Exchange = Caption Contest
So I was at a Christmas party on Friday where we had a Chinese Gift Exchange. I pretty much cleaned up with the best gift, an awkwardly erect duck. I need your help to add captions, name it, whatever you can think of. Game on.

Finally Time To Dump Cable?

Hulu.com launched a while back in private beta. Since then, it’s been released to the general public. I’ve been playing with it for the past week or so (tough job right?) and I’m completely blown away.
Did someone from big media finally get something right? I can’t believe it, but Hulu is nearly perfect.
Good quality, lots of choices (with more being added all the time), access to tv shows and movies, quick load time, the ads don’t bother me personally, great interface…honestly, it’s probably just easier for me to let you check it out and see what you think. Leave a comment and let me know what you think of it.
Help! Kevin Mitnik Hacked My Marquee
I work for a community college in Dallas, TX named Richland College. Today I got copied on an email with the subject: ‘Marquee question’. It was from a faculty member who saw something weird showing up on the marquee that we use to advertise activities going on at the school. The email was too funny not to share with everyone.
Here’s the email:
“We have John McInnis speaking on animation at our Computer Festival, Friday April 4, at 10 am in the Performance Hall, it is advertised on the Marquees, your man apparently confused him with Kevin Mitnick, who is an abjured felon and famous computer hacker, he speaks on computer safety. This man from the community called Richland and confused many people at Richland with his confusion about computer safety and what he thought he saw on the Marquee.
Digg Advertising Has a Ways to Go
I was checking the latest news on Digg today and an interesting ad showed up in the right hand column…

Hmm…just a thought, but considering the Digg audience is composed of probably about 90% tech-oriented, single males, not sure how well an ad for Lane Bryant bras is going to go over.
There have been several storied on Digg recently about the shotty advertising, but this is just weird.
You Can’t Rollerskate In a Buffalo Herd
I don’t have any idea who Roger Miller is, but I do know he is an absolutely brilliant musical artist…I think this song will prove my point.
